Time for HolidayFest at Woodlawn, where a weekend can stretch in to the sunset and no one will care.
It's mulled wine time for the hearty red drinkers and, for us pasionate tea lovers, Smokin' Holiday Tea time. OK, this is an insider's, insider's recipe for a spiked tea that will leave you smiling from ear to ear.
The Great Room will be set up for wreath-making from this year's Slack grapevines and we'll send you on a Woodlawn scavenger hunt to get fresh greens, pine cones and berries for your holiday wreaths.
And yes, you're helping us, too, as we need to prune our boxwoods, spruce and pines at Woodlawn!
For any big kid who ever sewed popcorn or cranberries on a string for the holiday trees of yore, this will be a little bit of Memory Lane. For the Millenials, here's a chance to make something for your friends and loved ones who need to know that you have a serious atistic streak.
We have plenty of ribbon but feel free to bring your own accessories (ribbons, fake pearls, glitter, beads, etc.) There will be tables, chairs, string, bows and Mother Nature's bounty to use for a fun day of making wreaths with wine, crazy tea and, from Flying Loon Catering, plenty of hot chocolate and fantastic eats to buy as well. Wine Club Member
Alba Hayes will be leading an instructional program in wreath-making.
We have pre-made grapevin wreaths for you to adorn with things you find around the Farm or whatever else you wish to bring. Some one bring glue, please.
$10 Contributions for the wreaths will be donated fully to our favorite charity Fabulous with 47.
Joe Norris will provide light rock/folk and original music both days.
Any questions send Lauren an email at [email protected]
Thanks and see you at Woodlawn!
