Slack Market marries Wine Tastings with produce and favorite local vendors every Saturday from June 14 through October 25, 12-6 pm.
S<span style="font-size: 12px;">tarting a new tradition, Woodlawn Farm opens Slack Market on June 14th with produce and wine tastings in the @1925 Tobacco Barn at an estuary of the Peninsula known as Tick Neck. Our little part of this land area is known more commonly as Woodlawn Farm and, quite frankly, we prefer it that way when we're contemplating the lovely wines we produce and the feelings of quietude to which we aspire. </span>
The Tobacco Barn is an important center of the farm's history, the current remodeling dating from the early '20s and now being opened for the public as part of our Saturday Slack Market.
Slack Market will bring together local producers of good, fresh produce and food and the ever-interesting world of Southern Maryland artisans. The musicians among us are perhaps the most well-known of the artisans but there are many more and each week we'll plan to showcase a different artisan, paired with one great musician, great wine, and lots of produce for the week ahead 'til the Market is open again.
Join us down on the farm this summer. Bring a picnic lunch or grab one on the go from St. Inigoes General Store, Raley's Market, or head to Spinnakers or Courtney's afterwards. South County is a pretty special place and we look forward to sharing the neighborhood with you.
