Join us sometime in the next two weekends as we prepare for an unusual Holiday celebration at Woodlawn for Jean Calmère, our Slack Wine Tasting Assistant and sometime Woodlawn Innkeeper.
We invite you to stop by at Woodlawn Saturday, December 13, Sunday December 14, and Saturday December 20 12-6 pm for our usual Annual Holiday Party and to send off Jean Calmère with Godspeed to meet his father. JC has finally received the visa that will allow his journey, along with Nezia and their son Carl, to Switzerland for Christmas.
We’re planning one long party over two weekends, with a shameless amount of cookies and sweets, Eggnog (my favorite) and Slack’s special mulled wine which, as they say on the farm, may just about lay your ears back. Hot cocoa for kids, fire pits outside and ---- well, what a Christmas story!
Let us know you are coming (see separate registration for Saturday, December 20) so we can prepare enough in the kitchen. Bring your friends and families if you wish and there will be some wreath-making fixings for kids of all ages if you want to head out to the Boxwood Gardens to fetch some trimmings to stuff around some extra grapevine wreaths (just the kind of things that vineyards happen to have in abundance).
We also discovered another 25 cases of Blue Bottle Yellowlegs under a pallet of Black Drum Red which will be on special holiday sale for you --- absolutely in peak condition for the coming holiday tables.
