It's that time of year again - we are doing last prep for Slack and Field. Each year we are looking at how we can make our event even better and this year we have teamed up with two other charity races in Southern Maryland to create a local charity running series:
THE DOWN COUNTRY TRIPLE CROWN
The three jewels in the crown are....
10/17 - Snack Sack 5K (benefiting United Way's Snack Sack program in the public schools) -

10/24 - MOG Jog 5K (benefiting Southern Maryland Community Resources' programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities)
11/1 - SLACK AND FIELD (benefiting See The Ability and our education and employment initiatives for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities)
Each race registration is a ticket to a fantastic event as well as a chance to win the Grand Prize, AN APPLE WATCH!
We have also taken the course up a notch and we will be travelling through the woods and along the water at Woodlawn. This year's 5K will be a cross country course and the Kids 1K will remain a mad dash along the driveway towards the house so that we can accommodate the youngest of runners!
We will also have pumpkins to launch and hay bales to jump and live music from the Bushmill Boys! Come to run, come to cheer or come to just relax at Woodlawn with a glass of Slack Wine....
Kelly Guilfoyle of Lotus Kitchen will be there with her delicious cuisine for purchase after the races. The new Tidewater Barn will also be open for wine tastings and purchases.
