ABOUT ABOUT

Stroll Woodlawn Farm in the Fall and feel the rural heritage of Maryland's first estate.

Woodlawn was deeded to Governor Leonard Calvert in 1634 and today is home to an inn, fields of wheat, and the tasting room for Slack Winery. A small (very small!) part of our 20 acre vineyards are also here.  Soon, we will add another element of interest when we roll out Slack Brew in the Spring of 2014.

Sample our first two brews --- and give us your comments --- on the weekend of November 16 & 17 at SlackFest, where we'll have samples. Some of our newer releases from Slack Winery --- In the Flowers Sparkling and Southern Roots Sparkling, notably --- will be available as well, for tasting and for purchase. We'll have most of our whites, blushes and reds available, too.

And yes, Woodlawn is always about families. Bring the family (all kids under 21 are free and bring your dog as well) and picnic on the grass sipping Slack wine, available by the glass or bottle. Bring your own food or purchase German sausage, potato salad, braised red cabbage and more from Flying Loon Catering.

Bring chairs and we'll provide some fire pits for everyone to get ready for winter amidst continuing musical festivities with Joe Norris, Patty Dorsch & John Shaw.

Slack Wine Club Members have free admission.
